Questions
Who is RM365 for?
RM365 is for anyone choosing a brand name or keeping one: startups and entrepreneurs, growing brands, established brands, and advisers and agencies.
Is a check in Singapore enough if I trade elsewhere too?
No. Trade marks and company names are territorial: a registration in Singapore protects you there. Tick every market you trade in, or plan to, and the check runs all of them at once.
Does a trade mark registered somewhere else protect my name in Singapore?
Not by itself. Trade marks for Singapore are not searched automatically yet, so a result there says so and links the office's own search.
How current are the results?
Registers searched live are as current as the register itself at the moment of the check. Published register data is updated on a schedule, so the newest entries can be missing until the next update.
Is this legal advice?
RM365 is not legal advice. It shows what the registers and the web hold on the day you check, estimates the risk of an objection and suggests wording to review; a trade mark attorney advises you on your own case. For a filing you care about, or any dispute, use one.
